inscribed RBugatti, numbered (47) and stamped with the foundry mark CIRE PERDUE A.A. HÉBRARD
bronze with original marble base
length: 19.6cm., 7¾in.
length (including base): 21.2cm., 8⅜in.
Conceived circa 1908 and cast in bronze in a numbered edition of 51. This work is recorded in the archives of the Rembrandt Bugatti Conservatoire, Paris.

Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Jaguar accroupi, petit modèle by Rembrandt Bugatti. The price achieved of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 74,693.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rembrandt Bugatti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Babouin Sacré Hamadryas in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,770,000.00 (€ 2,519,556.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jaguar accroupi, petit modèle von Rembrandt Bugatti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 63.000,00 (€ 74.693,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rembrandt Bugatti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Babouin Sacré Hamadryas im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.770.000,00 (€ 2.519.556,12).
