Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Girl with No Face by Qiu Yacai for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,534.82). This price was achieved in the auction The Landscape of a Mind: A Private Collector's Surreal Vision at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Qiu Yacai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Model(Painted In 1993) in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,534,000.00 (€ 168,834.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Girl with No Face von Qiu Yacai für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.534,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Landscape of a Mind: A Private Collector's Surreal Vision bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Yacai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Model(Painted In 1993) im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.534.000,00 (€ 168.834,82).
