Auction result well in line with expectations

This work without title by Qiu Yacai was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art Online: Come Fly with Me auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 23,282.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Qiu Yacai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Model(Painted In 1993) in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,534,000.00 (€ 168,834.82).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Qiu Yacai wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art Online: Come Fly with Me bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 23.282,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Yacai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Model(Painted In 1993) im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.534.000,00 (€ 168.834,82).
