The work Gentleman by Qiu Yacai was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 40,004.48) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 350,000.00 – 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qiu Yacai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Model(Painted In 1993) in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,534,000.00 (€ 168,834.82).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Gentleman von Qiu Yacai kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 40.004,48) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 700.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Yacai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Model(Painted In 1993) im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.534.000,00 (€ 168.834,82).
