Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work A Fine Young Man by Qiu Yacai for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,574.63). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 260,000.00 – 500,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Qiu Yacai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Model(Painted In 1993) in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,534,000.00 (€ 168,834.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Fine Young Man von Qiu Yacai für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.574,63) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 260.000,00 – 500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Yacai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Model(Painted In 1993) im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.534.000,00 (€ 168.834,82).
