Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Figure and Form: Modern Art Featuring Bridging Generations, Property from an Important Southeast Asian Private Museum, which included this untitled work by Qiu Yacai. The price achieved of HKD 52,920.00 (€ 5,884.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Yacai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Model(Painted In 1993) in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,534,000.00 (€ 168,834.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Figure and Form: Modern Art Featuring Bridging Generations, Property from an Important Southeast Asian Private Museum durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Qiu Yacai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 52.920,00 (€ 5.884,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Yacai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Model(Painted In 1993) im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.534.000,00 (€ 168.834,82).
