In March 2012 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Videostill from: Entlastungen - Pipilotti's Fehler (Absolutions - Pipilotti's Mistakes) by Pipilotti Rist. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,097.93), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pipilotti Rist achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bar in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 80,750.00 (€ 127,998.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im März 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Videostill from: Entlastungen - Pipilotti's Fehler (Absolutions - Pipilotti's Mistakes) von Pipilotti Rist zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.097,93) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pipilotti Rist erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bar im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.750,00 (€ 127.998,69).
