This artwork by Pipilotti Rist achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2000. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Bar sold for GBP 80,750.00 (€ 127,998.69) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 45,000.00. This high result makes Bar the most expensive artwork by Pipilotti Rist that we have observed at auctions so far.
