Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Remake of the Weekend by Pipilotti Rist was auctioned at Phillips in New York in July this year. The price achieved of USD 6,350.00 (€ 5,762.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pipilotti Rist achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bar in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 80,750.00 (€ 127,998.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Remake of the Weekend von Pipilotti Rist kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.350,00 (€ 5.762,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pipilotti Rist erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bar im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.750,00 (€ 127.998,69).
