Sold at the upper estimate price
In December 2013 Phillips in London held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work Third Medium by Phillip Allen. The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,608.53), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Phillip Allen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,505.05).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2013 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Under the Influence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Third Medium von Phillip Allen zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.608,53) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Phillip Allen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2015 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.505,05) versteigert wurde.
