Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Christies in London held the auction First Open Online, which included the work Dubious Plan (Academy Version) by Phillip Allen. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,847.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Phillip Allen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,505.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dubious Plan (Academy Version) von Phillip Allen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.847,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Phillip Allen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2015 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.505,05) versteigert wurde.
