In December last year Bonhams held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Online Sale, which included the work Shabbir (Optical Dive Version) by Phillip Allen. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,727.22), 28% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Phillip Allen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,505.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shabbir (Optical Dive Version) von Phillip Allen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.727,22) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Phillip Allen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.505,05).
