The work Smoking Scene by Philip Colbert was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,562.55) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Colbert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) in December last year with an auction result of GBP 71,820.00 (€ 81,077.78).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Smoking Scene von Philip Colbert wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.562,55) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philip Colbert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.820,00 (€ 81.077,78).
