This artwork by Philip Colbert achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July last year. In the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Flower Study From The Lobster Land Museum (Yellow, White, Red, Blue) sold for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 39,121.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip Colbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue), which sold at auction in December last year for GBP 71,820.00 (€ 81,077.78).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Philip Colbert erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Flower Study From The Lobster Land Museum (Yellow, White, Red, Blue) für GBP 32.760,00 (€ 39.121,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip Colbert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für GBP 71.820,00 (€ 81.077,78) versteigert wurde.
