The work Hunt Scene II by Philip Colbert was sold in the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,308.36), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Philip Colbert; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) sold at auction in December last year with the realized price of GBP 71,820.00 (€ 81,077.78).

Die Arbeit Hunt Scene II von Philip Colbert wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.308,36) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Philip Colbert; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) im Dezember letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 71.820,00 (€ 81.077,78).
