It achieved a price of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,125.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Admittedly, works by Philip Colbert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) in December last year with an auction result of GBP 71,820.00 (€ 81,077.78).

Die Arbeit Builders Study 2 von Philip Colbert wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.125,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Colbert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.820,00 (€ 81.077,78).
