Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Smoking Lobster Magenta by Philip Colbert was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,757.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Colbert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) in December last year with an auction result of GBP 71,820.00 (€ 81,077.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Smoking Lobster Magenta von Philip Colbert kam im September 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.757,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philip Colbert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.820,00 (€ 81.077,78).
