The work Collaboration Paintings from The Lobster Land Museum (Olympics) by Philip Colbert was sold in the Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 226,800.00 (€ 25,154.29), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip Colbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue), which sold at auction in December last year for GBP 71,820.00 (€ 81,077.78).

Die Arbeit Collaboration Paintings from The Lobster Land Museum (Olympics) von Philip Colbert wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 226.800,00 (€ 25.154,29) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip Colbert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Painter Portrait 2022 (Sky Blue) beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für GBP 71.820,00 (€ 81.077,78) versteigert wurde.
