Auction result misses estimated price range

In July 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Passéisme by Peter Nagy for USD 756.00 (€ 637.22). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Peter Nagy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reliquiario del tempo in November 2007 with an auction result of EUR 3,900.00.

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Juli 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Passéisme von Peter Nagy für USD 756,00 (€ 637,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Nagy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reliquiario del tempo im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.900,00.
