This artwork by Peggy Preheim achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. In the Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” auction, the work Alex sold for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,336.89) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Peggy Preheim; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Grass Ceiling sold at auction in March 2016 with the realized price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,389.82).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Peggy Preheim erzielte im März 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” wurde die Arbeit Alex für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.336,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Peggy Preheim; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Grass Ceiling im März 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.389,82).
