Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian Art, which included the work Baigneuses by Pavel Chmaroff. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,505.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pavel Chmaroff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Bathers, which sold at auction in December 2009 for GBP 34,850.00 (€ 39,312.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Baigneuses von Pavel Chmaroff zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 13.505,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pavel Chmaroff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Bathers beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für GBP 34.850,00 (€ 39.312,03) versteigert wurde.
