In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction Important Russian Art, which included the work Still Life With Fruit by Pavel Chmaroff. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,220.20), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pavel Chmaroff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bathers in December 2009 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 39,312.03).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit von Pavel Chmaroff zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.220,20) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pavel Chmaroff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bathers im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 39.312,03).
