In June 2015 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Children on a sunlit beach by Pavel Chmaroff. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,574.91), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pavel Chmaroff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Bathers, which sold at auction in December 2009 for GBP 34,850.00 (€ 39,312.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Children on a sunlit beach von Pavel Chmaroff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.574,91) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pavel Chmaroff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Bathers beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für GBP 34.850,00 (€ 39.312,03) versteigert wurde.
