Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three Ladies In A Garden by Pavel Chmaroff was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,398.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pavel Chmaroff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Bathers, which sold at auction in December 2009 for GBP 34,850.00 (€ 39,312.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Three Ladies In A Garden von Pavel Chmaroff kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.398,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Pavel Chmaroff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Bathers beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für GBP 34.850,00 (€ 39.312,03) versteigert wurde.
