Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In The Meadow by Pavel Chmaroff was sold in the Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 17,131.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pavel Chmaroff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Bathers, which sold at auction in December 2009 for GBP 34,850.00 (€ 39,312.03).

Die Arbeit In The Meadow von Pavel Chmaroff wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Russian Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 17.131,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pavel Chmaroff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Bathers beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für GBP 34.850,00 (€ 39.312,03) versteigert wurde.
