This artwork by Paul Wonner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work View of Malibu sold for USD 151,200.00 (€ 128,757.56) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Wonner; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still Life With Cup sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of USD 324,000.00 (€ 240,838.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Wonner erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit View of Malibu für USD 151.200,00 (€ 128.757,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Wonner; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Still Life With Cup im Mai 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 324.000,00 (€ 240.838,47).
