Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California, which included the work Self Portrait With Redon, 1967 by Paul Wonner. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,625.55). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Wonner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Cup in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 324,000.00 (€ 240,838.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self Portrait With Redon, 1967 von Paul Wonner zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.355,00 (€ 4.625,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Wonner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Cup im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 324.000,00 (€ 240.838,47).
