Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue and Butterflies, 1970 by Paul Wonner was sold in the The Collection of Amalia de Schulthess Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,562.50 (€ 8,448.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Wonner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Cup in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 324,000.00 (€ 240,838.47).

Die Arbeit Blue and Butterflies, 1970 von Paul Wonner wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion The Collection of Amalia de Schulthess Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.562,50 (€ 8.448,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Wonner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Cup im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 324.000,00 (€ 240.838,47).
