Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Large Line, from Burial Mound series by Pat Steir. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,080.00 (€ 1,021.95), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pat Steir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elective Affinity Waterfall in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 2,295,000.00 (€ 1,966,580.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Large Line, from Burial Mound series von Pat Steir zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.080,00 (€ 1.021,95) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pat Steir erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elective Affinity Waterfall im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.295.000,00 (€ 1.966.580,98).
