Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nigredo III by Pablo Palazuelo was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in July 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 93,967.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pablo Palazuelo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Virtus Marin, Vi, which sold at auction in October 2008 for EUR 301,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nigredo III von Pablo Palazuelo wurde im Juli 2014 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 93.967,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Pablo Palazuelo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Virtus Marin, Vi beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für EUR 301.000,00 versteigert wurde.
