Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Christies in London held the auction First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London, which included this untitled work by Os Gêmeos. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 57,906.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Os Gêmeos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Amigo, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 162,500.00 (€ 153,853.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Os Gêmeos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 57.906,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Os Gêmeos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Amigo beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 162.500,00 (€ 153.853,44) versteigert wurde.
