Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Still life of fruit in a landscape by Oliver Clare. The price achieved of USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,182.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oliver Clare achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Primroses and apple blossom, a bird's nest with eggs, on a mossy bank; and Grapes, plums, gooseberries, a plum and a strawberry, on a mossy bank in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 13,617.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life of fruit in a landscape von Oliver Clare zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.560,00 (€ 1.182,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oliver Clare erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Primroses and apple blossom, a bird's nest with eggs, on a mossy bank; and Grapes, plums, gooseberries, a plum and a strawberry, on a mossy bank im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.400,00 (€ 13.617,06).
