Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life of rasberries, plums and peaches on a table by Oliver Clare was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in August 2011. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,603.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oliver Clare have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Primroses and apple blossom, a bird's nest with eggs, on a mossy bank; and Grapes, plums, gooseberries, a plum and a strawberry, on a mossy bank in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 13,617.06).
