The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,196.02), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oliver Clare achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Primroses and apple blossom, a bird's nest with eggs, on a mossy bank; and Grapes, plums, gooseberries, a plum and a strawberry, on a mossy bank in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 13,617.06).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.062,50 (€ 1.196,02) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
