Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Oliver Clare could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Still life of grapes and other fruit changed hands for USD 937.50 (€ 740.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oliver Clare achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Primroses and apple blossom, a bird's nest with eggs, on a mossy bank; and Grapes, plums, gooseberries, a plum and a strawberry, on a mossy bank in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 13,617.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
