Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Continental Paintings, which included the work Still Life With Grapes; Still Life With A Bird'S Nest by Oliver Clare. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,975.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Oliver Clare have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2003 the work Primroses and apple blossom, a bird's nest with eggs, on a mossy bank; and Grapes, plums, gooseberries, a plum and a strawberry, on a mossy bank was auctioned for GBP 9,400.00 (€ 13,617.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Continental Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Grapes; Still Life With A Bird'S Nest von Oliver Clare zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.975,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
