Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life of fruits; and a companion painting by Oliver Clare was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2007. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,764.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oliver Clare have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Primroses and apple blossom, a bird's nest with eggs, on a mossy bank; and Grapes, plums, gooseberries, a plum and a strawberry, on a mossy bank in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 13,617.06).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.764,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
