Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stoker by Norman Bluhm was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 60,000.00 (€ 53,158.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Bluhm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chicago 1920 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,138,600.00 (€ 731,748.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Stoker von Norman Bluhm wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 53.158,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Bluhm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chicago 1920 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.138.600,00 (€ 731.748,07).
