Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Norman Bluhm was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 50,775.00 (€ 47,316.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Bluhm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chicago 1920 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,138,600.00 (€ 731,748.07).
