Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Orient Express by Norman Bluhm was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,760.00 (€ 29,532.14). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Bluhm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chicago 1920 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,138,600.00 (€ 731,748.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Orient Express von Norman Bluhm kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.760,00 (€ 29.532,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Bluhm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chicago 1920 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.138.600,00 (€ 731.748,07).
