Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Norman Bluhm achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in November this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Open Hearth sold for USD 121,150.00 (€ 111,065.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Norman Bluhm have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chicago 1920 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,138,600.00 (€ 731,748.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Norman Bluhm erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Open Hearth für USD 121.150,00 (€ 111.065,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norman Bluhm auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chicago 1920 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.138.600,00 (€ 731.748,07).
