Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Nancy Dwyer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2004. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work The ME Block sold for USD 3,824.00 (€ 3,073.71) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nancy Dwyer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aging Punks, which sold at auction in September 2010 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,190.50).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Nancy Dwyer erzielte im Februar 2004 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit The ME Block für USD 3.824,00 (€ 3.073,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nancy Dwyer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aging Punks beobachtet, die im September 2010 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.190,50) versteigert wurde.
