This artwork by Moira Dryer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. In the Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” auction, the work without title sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,852.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Moira Dryer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Parenthesis sold at auction in July last year with the realized price of USD 20,160.00 (€ 19,760.83).
