Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Moira Dryer. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,292.31), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Moira Dryer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Parenthesis, which sold at auction in July last year for USD 20,160.00 (€ 19,760.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Moira Dryer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.292,31) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Moira Dryer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Parenthesis beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für USD 20.160,00 (€ 19.760,83) versteigert wurde.
