Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
When the work Cloudy Nympho Mom 2 (Burger chicken Chase) by Mike Bouchet was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 5,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than seven times as high at GBP 35,000.00 (€ 40,715.11). Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mike Bouchet; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lincoln Pooh sold at auction in February 2015 with the realized price of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 43,089.11).
Kunstwerk zum Siebenfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Cloudy Nympho Mom 2 (Burger chicken Chase) von Mike Bouchet im April 2019 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – GBP 5.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit GBP 35.000,00 (€ 40.715,11) mehr als siebenmal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mike Bouchet; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Lincoln Pooh im Februar 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 43.089,11).
