In October 2018 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints, which included the work Black Pulse 11 (lambda) by Mike and Doug Starn. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,824.57), 43% above the upper estimate. Other works by Mike and Doug Starn have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 16,250.00 (€ 10,438.08) in April 2008 for the work Trees.
