Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horses, 1986 by Mike and Doug Starn was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,729.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Mike and Doug Starn have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2008 the work Trees was auctioned for USD 16,250.00 (€ 10,438.08).
