Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rumba by Miguel Covarrubias was sold in the Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash auction at Bonhams in New York in August this year. The price achieved of USD 1,792.00 (€ 1,653.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Miguel Covarrubias achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Preparation Of A Balinese Ceremony in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 8,440,000.00 (€ 868,922.59).

Die Arbeit Rumba von Miguel Covarrubias wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.792,00 (€ 1.653,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Miguel Covarrubias erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Preparation Of A Balinese Ceremony im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.440.000,00 (€ 868.922,59).
