In September this year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Impossible Interview #7 (Maria of Romania vs. Mae West) by Miguel Covarrubias. The »bidding war« ended at USD 52,920.00 (€ 50,000.00), 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Miguel Covarrubias achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Preparation Of A Balinese Ceremony in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 8,440,000.00 (€ 868,922.59).

Im September diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Impossible Interview #7 (Maria of Romania vs. Mae West) von Miguel Covarrubias zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 50.000,00) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Miguel Covarrubias erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Preparation Of A Balinese Ceremony im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.440.000,00 (€ 868.922,59).
