Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Octopus by Michel François was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2006. The price achieved of USD 4,800.00 (€ 3,619.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michel François achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Souffles dans le verre in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 62,776.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Octopus von Michel François kam im November 2006 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.800,00 (€ 3.619,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michel François erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Souffles dans le verre im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 62.776,08).
